Competition
West Herts Wizards caters for those who want to really improve their game. Group and one to one coaching sessions, County League and national and regional tournaments.
League teams
Our teams play friendly matches against other clubs and run two teams in the Hertfordshire Pickleball League which was formed in 2023.
Home games are played at EveryoneActive’s Berkhamsted Leisure Centre, Lagley Meadow, Douglas Gardens, Berkhamsted HP4 3QQ.
League matches run over the Summer months. In our first season, our A team won the league and our B team performed extremely well.
National and regional competitions
There's plenty of opportunity to compete in a West Herts Wizards team or to represent the club at national and regional tournaments and tournivals.
We had 17 club members playing in Telford at the English Open Pickleball in 2023 in singles, ladies / men’s doubles and mixed and included players in the 18+, 35+, 50+, 60+, 65+ age groups. Next year we will also have 70+ players.
For a very new club, and in our very first Open tournament, we had a haul of 10 medals come back, 8 golds and 2 silvers in singles and men’s doubles, many others getting to the quarter final stage and every entrant, winning games in the round-robin.
